Meet Cyrus! This PERFECT, handsome chonk arrived in the rescue a perfect gentleman! He is an active 9 year old guy. His leash manners are on point and he might even poop in a pot by the mailbox as to not make a mess. Cyrus does enjoy the company of another calm dog, not to play with but be around and maybe take a walk with. He LOVES the yard and partakes in some zoomies, politely says hello to the neighbors and neighbor dogs. Friends are great to have. Cyrus welcomes kids that know dogs aren't furniture, are gentle, respectful and possibly like to cuddle. Cyrus has a habit of sitting on your lap. If you know a Pitbull you know their style of affection does include planting it on your lap. Cy is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, a great car companion, snuggle buddy. All vetting is complete, heartworm negative and on prevention.

Why adoption is a great option

Cyrus, a Pevely American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Pevely, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Pevely.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pevely already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pevely breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pevely paves the way for another one to be saved.
