My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

See Luna live in action: https://www.swh.org/staff-favorites.html

Luna is a 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pyrenees mix and a shelter favorite. She weighs around 90lbs and is a giant fluffball! She is very well-behaved and loves to play with toys. Luna loves the company of humans and would prefer not to have any fur siblings. She would do best with older kids (13+) since she has some body sensitivity. She'd love to find a home that will get her a huge bed to snooze on and lots of toys to play with. She is a sweetie pie, and she's ready to join her forever family!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
