Hey everyone! Zuko here! I am a 1 year old German shepherd who is looking for a new home and family! I was found wandering the country streets after I was abandoned by my owners because they didn't want to work with my energy!
Since being rescued, I have learned a lot about who I am. I love all people, and I am extremely friendly to everyone I meet, no matter the age! Sometimes they call me a velcro dog, I'm not sure what that means but I just know I like to stick to my people! I also really love over dogs, of all shapes and sizes! Some of them tell me I need to calm down a little but I have a blast with my foster siblings! We play tug with the rope toys and chase after the same ball! I also REALLY love to play fetch, and enjoy the training exercises I get alongside with it! I used to be superimpatient but now, I can easily sit and wait for you to throw it for me!
I am new to being around cats and while I'm not against them, they might not enjoy my wild side when I'm playing! So my foster mom says it just depends on the cat!
I didn't know many manners or skills when I arrived but after having just a few months in rescue, I have learned all my basics! I am fully crate trained, and enjoy having something to chew on when it's quiet time. I know how to sit and go to my kennel, but I'm still trying to get the hang of stay. It's REALLY hard! I just am so excited to be everywhere and do anything with the humans I love! I do well with positive reinforcement with treats or toys, both work well for me!
