Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Coal is a tripod due to a badly injured front leg when he was found on the side of the road by a kind stranger. Coal was taken straight to the vet but his leg was badly damaged. A second opinion at a specialist verified his leg had severe nerve damage. Coal was 4 months old at the time. The surgeon wanted to wait until he was 6 months old. Coal was covered in fleas, thin and had a skin infection. 2 months later he had his surgery. Having 3 legs does not slow him down. Coal plays well with other dogs. He is slow to warm up to men especially big men. He has a lot of energy and needs exercise. He needs an experienced dog owner with a good vet history. He is not a dog for a first time dog owner. We are looking for a home with a secured fence, no apartments. Applicants must live in the Austin area multiple visits will be required. No toddlers he is unsure of quick sudden movement. He loves to play ball and hang out with his human. Homes with other dogs require a meet & greet with Coal. Must be willing to crate train. He must never be left outside unsupervised. No swimming pools.
