Hello there! My name is Yukon, and I am an 8-year-old neutered male border collie. Through no fault of my own I was returned to the care of Midwest Border Collie Rescue by my previous adopters after living with them for approximately 2 years. My current foster parents tell me I am a sweet boy. I have been with my current foster parents here in Northern Illinois since mid-February 2022. I really like to hang out, play, and be with my people. I do like to go on car rides, and I don’t bark or whine during the ride (Car Rides are fun!). I like when my foster parents play with me with my bark box toys. I wear/use a harness to go on walks and my foster parents tell me that I am a good boy on walks on the leash. I am somewhat protective of my home (space) and my people. I ask that you introduce me slowly to new people and/or dogs coming into my home/space. If necessary, I will need go into another room until I get comfortable with new people and/or dogs. My foster parents feed me separately, so I can eat in peace.
