Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hawthorne is a 12 week old, 10 pound active puppy who loves to play with his sister, Azalea. He is a spunky adventurous little pup who enjoys having all the toys he can get his paws on. As he struts around the room, he is always making new puppy friends. Although he enjoys his play time, he loves to snuggle up with you and a get a good belly rub. Like all puppies, he needs a family who has the time and patience to train a puppy!
Please click the Adoption Application link to fill out an application to adopt one of the dogs coming to our event. We do not approve adopters for specific dogs but clear them to be able to adopt from us. Hawthorne will be coming to our Adoption Event Saturday, May 21st (Appointments Only) & Sunday, May 22nd (walk-ins welcome). On Sunday, we are open from 10 am to 3 pm unless all the dogs are adopted earlier. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated to age and micro-chipped. Adoption Fee is no more than $450. Check our website for the Available Dogs. It is updated after each adoption!
Adopters must submit an Application and be Approved to adopt before they will be able to schedule an appointment for the event. Only a limited number of families are scheduled every half hour. All family members, including any dog in your home, should be there if possible. Children under the age of 16 are required to attend. If you have an approved application on file with us, please email us at itsallaboutthedogs2014@gmail.com and we will set up an appointment for you.
If time allows, we will try to do Virtual Interviews prior to the event. All family members must be available for this interview.
We check references. If you have a dog, we require a Vet reference. If you are a first time dog owner, you must provide 3 NON-RELATED personal references so we can process your application.
If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.
Unless otherwise stated in the description, these dogs are not in Connecticut and will be arriving the day prior to the event so it is not possible for you to meet them before the event.
We post all of the information we have on the dogs. All dogs have been seen by a Vet before they are brought to Connecticut and are seen by a Vet when they arrive in Connecticut on the Friday before the event. Any identified health issues are noted in the dog's descriptions.
We know you may have questions, please understand we respond to those who have filled out applications first. We are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we focus on screening applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. If you are interested in a dog, your best bet is to fill out an application and come meet your new best friend! Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
