My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bailey! This sweet girl is looking for her forever home with experienced owners.
She loves the outside - playing fetch, going for walks in fairly quiet areas (few people and dogs to run into) and laying in the sun. She also does great in the car! A securely fenced yard is a must for this girl.

Inside, Bailey thinks anything soft is her bed - she enjoys sleeping on the couch, in her crate, on a dog bed or at your feet while working (she’d love to sleep in bed with you but isn’t allowed in her foster home). She loves her dog toys and chewing her bone and stuffies and keeps the chewing to appropriate dog things. She will alert you to any happenings outside. Bailey is crate trained - It is her safe place!

Bailey with people - she absolutely loves HER humans. She needs slow, distant and non threatening introductions with people, but once she sees you’re safe, you become part of her circle and she can’t love you enough. She loves to play and cuddle and get belly rubs.  She is a covid dog in that she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other people. She continues to make progress with socialization.

Bailey with kids - her human foster brother is her favorite being. Bailey’s forever home could include older kids (12+) who are respectful of her and her signals. She also gets quite excited to see her people and can forget her size!

Bailey with dogs - Bailey is reactive to other dogs. She is in a foster home with another dog and while they get along (after a slow introduction), Bailey resource guards bones, stuffed animals and good treats, causing angst in her furry foster brother. She’d love to be the only furry friend in a home to get all of the love and attention (she also has prey drive so no cats).

As Bailey was under socialized and has some fears, she needs experienced owners that will continue her positive training and pay attention to and respect her signals. She has made great progress and has so much love to give and all she wants is love and a cuddle in return.

Bailey is currently in foster in Gig Harbor. If you’re interested in being Bailey’s forever family, please complete an application: No apartments or rentals.  Bully Breed experience is a must
