My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This Guy! Have you ever heard of "Little Man" Syndrome? He's got it! If you like a smaller dog with a big attitude, then Billy Bob is your boy. He will offer hours of entertainment. He is very affectionate, and also very vocal. If you don't get dogs, you definitely won't get our weird but loved little guy. Billy Bob growls to communicate. He growls when he's happy and excited, growls if he is feeling needy and wants in your lap, growls if you have to fuss at him. It's 100% his way of communicating, but if you're easily intimidated, you wouldn't get our weird little guy. If you're someone who understands his means of communicating, he would quickly become your heart dog. He is certainly loved by many in the shelter.

More about this shelter

CARA -- Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, Inc., is a No Kill animal shelter located in Jackson, MS, that cares for an average of 160 animals daily. We do not receive any funding from the city, county, state or federal government and operate exclusively through the generosity of our community by private donations from individuals, businesses, & fundraising events. Our primary goals are to place our adoptable pets in loving, caring homes and to educate the public on responsible pet ownership including why spay/neuter is so important. Please donate to our cause and volunteer as we strive to better the lives of pets in Mississippi.
