Bolete is a very special little animal. Neither a mouse nor a rat, she is an African soft-furred rat, also known as a multi-mammate mouse. While extraordinarily cute and fun to watch, Bolete is not a fan of being handled, but will take sunflower seeds and meal worms from her foster parent's hand. She enjoys snuggling and playing with her sisters Blewit and Morel and needs to be adopted with them.
Bolete needs an adopter who is experienced in rodent care and will understand her wild nature. She will not make a good companion for children. Her adoption fee is $25 and potential adopters will be carefully screened to make sure she does not end up as snake food.
