My story

My name is Ginny. I was saved as a stray in the Deer Harbor area. The people at the shelter posted lots of signs with my photo, but no one ever came to find me. My birthday is estimated to be 2011, give or take a few years. I am sweet and love to have my long hair brushed. I would like a quiet cat experienced home without dogs or young children. I don't mind other cats as long as they are willing to give me space. When too much is going on, I can be scared. Could you be the person to make my life complete?

OUR ADOPTION POLICY:

Step 1: Complete an Adoption Inquiry at https://www.orcaspets.org/catrequest.html.

Step 2: Requests are reviewed and meet and greets are scheduled.

Step 3: Meet and greet with adoption interview.

Step 4: Adoption if the pet is an appropriate match.

Our adoption policy is to give preference to San Juan County residents when scheduling meet and greets for adoptable pets. We have also chosen not to adopt pets outside of Washington State but are happy to direct you to a shelter in your area.

Additional adoption info

Our shelter is located on Orcas Island in Washington State. Our adoption policy is to always try to find a suitable home for a pet here on island before looking else where. If a suitable owner is not found, we then widen our search to those in San Juan County and outlying areas. If you are looking to adopt from outside of the U.S., please be aware that this would be highly unlikely and only under special circumstances that we would choose to do so.
