Come meet Nova!
This tiny but mighty pitty is looking for her forever home. We recently pulled Nova from a partner shelter, where she was a frequent flyer before eventually being surrendered by her owners. Her owners stated their reason for surrender was that she was too much for them to handle, and an escape artist - it is true Nova is a powerful little lady, but she is so sweet and desperately in need of a loving home who understands that she is a beautiful work in progress! Nova has a very loving nature, she simply needs the support to become the best pup she can be!
Nova is a ~2 year old spayed female; we have been told she gets along well with male dogs, but she prefers to be the only queen in her castle. She has been grumbly through the kennel with other female dogs, but is IN LOVE with her big man, Buck, and took very good care of a visiting 4 month old puppy.
Nova is looking for a family who can help her feel safe and confident - she will make a great, loyal dog for any family! She is a typical pitty tank and very strong on leash - we are working with her on her manners, but she is not very food motivated and will benefit greatly from more personalized training in her forever home.
