Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This cute little guy is Mac, a 7-ish Chihuahua, tipping the scales at about 9 pounds. Unfortunately, Mac didn’t get much in the way of socialization when he was a pup. The result is that Mac has issues with strangers and can lash out when people he doesn’t know try to pet him or pick him up. Mac has done well in his foster homes because of the slow, gentle, patient approach his foster families have taken.
Mac likes to play with toys (balls, squeaky toys and tug toys). Once he feels comfortable, he will happily play fetch and tug with his new family members. He knows how to sit, lie down and stay on command. He enjoys riding in the car.
Mac’s ideal home will have another small dog for him to play and pal around with. His new family will be very patient, go slow and give him time to get to know them and come to them for attention when he’s ready and feels secure. Dog savvy kids over 12 only, please.
Mac has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and has been microchipped.
