My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Earnie!

13 Weeks | German Shepherd/Husky Mix | White/Black/Tan Coat | ALMOST House trained | Perfect Second Dog | High Energy | Loves Children | Working on Leash Manners | No Cat tested |

Hi there, I'm Earnie! I'm about 13 week old. male, Shepherd/husky mix! I'm cute as a button, both my looks and personality. I love walks, but I also like to come home and play my heart out. I am working hard on learning my name and potty training and am doing well but will need some more time and maturity before I can be left too long. I am crate trained when my foster parents go out, and for naps during the day to help me to self soothe and not develop any separation anxiety. I can still be quite loud in my crate so a home that doesn't mind the noise while I continue learning is a must! My foster family has a toddler who I adore and lots of other dogs to play with but I can often not know the limits of everyone's tolerance for a crazy puppy and will need lots of adult correction to ensure I learn appropriate manners around my dog and human friends.

I am VERY food driven and love to learn new things! So much so that foster mom thinks I might make a good sport prospect! I love scenting, have all the confidence in the world and go at life with 100%. My toy drive is not as high as my food drive but I am happy to work for kibble or just about anything.

My leash skills are still a work in progress but if Earnie's working for his food his eyes are on you. Even for his breed mix Earnie has shown a lot of drive so we would love to see him go to a home looking for a beginner sport dog or very active pet home.

I know as I continue to grow I will require a lot of exercise, guidance and structure so please only adopt me if this will suit your family life once I grow into my full Shepsky self, so please do your research before applying for me! I am a sweet and outgoing guy who would love to have a home that can continue to grow my confidence and boundaries with. I have loved absolutely everyone I have met so far and I can't wait to meet my new family and give them tons of smooches!!!!
