My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet 1 1/2 year old Horace! Horace was rescued from a mennonite farm when the owners no longer wanted him. He lived on a farm and slept in a barn. He had a bad ear infection, scabby painful ears from horse flies and sadly tested positive for lyme. He was on antibiotics for a month, and his protein in his urine is perfect. He will test positive for the rest of his life, but shows no illness from the disease. Horace is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He is VERY dog friendly and lives with three other dogs currently. He loves to play ball. Horace would do best in a home with another dog. He came out of his shell quickly in his foster home due to the other dogs in the home. He loves playing catch and wrestling with his favorite girl dog Zoe. He loves children but might knock them over accidentally. He weighs 75 lbs, but looking at him you might think he weighs close to 100. He has very long back legs. His foster mom calls him her little horse. Horace is still learning about personal space. He has no issues laying on top of you for love and passing out. He does not have a mean bone in his body. He would do best with a family that has another dog and a large 6 ft fenced in yard. He knows how to climb a chain link fence. He would be a great running partner! Additional adoption info

PLDP's number one goal is the successful placement of pets into their forever homes. Our process is designed to ensure the best adoption match for our pets and your family.

Families interested in adopting a pet should fill out the adoption application at www.pldpaws.org and email it to pldpaws@gmail.com. A PLDP representative will review your application and respond to you within 48 hours if the pet you applied for is possibly a good fit. After your application is processed, a time to meet your new fur friend can be scheduled. PLDP also requires home visits for all applicants. This visit can be done at the time of the meet or at a separate time. If you have any questions regarding our adoption process, please feel free to contact us.
