My story

Hi! My name is Rhyno! I’m an 80 lb. neutered lab mix boy that’s 18 months old, full of puppy energy, and up-to-date on all my vaccines and preventatives.

My biggest goal in life is to please my person, so I learn quick. I’m house and crate trained, and walk well on a leash. I live to give kisses and to receive belly rubs! In short, I’m a big lovebug!

In Texas, I was picked up as a stray with a broken jaw. The shelter tried to stabilize it but was unsuccessful. After a couple of months in the shelter, my jaw healed on its own, albeit a bit crooked. My foster mom says it gives my face character.

I enjoy other dogs, but a home with small children probably wouldn’t be a good fit for me as I don’t realize how big I am. Will you give me a forever home to love and be loved in? I promise you won’t regret it!

Why adoption is a great option

Rhyno, a Sargent Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sargent, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sargent.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sargent already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sargent breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sargent paves the way for another one to be saved.
