Gorgeous, house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, loves to be active, knows her basic commands, and ready to go home with you; that’s our Daisy Ann! Daisy’s foster mom recently had this to say: “Daisy Ann is a beautiful dog. She is protective and loyal. She loves her adult humans and wants to be with them often. She likes to walk and play with toys and her humans!”

Daisy Ann is a super-duper happy girl - just look at that face! She’s big, beautiful, and bright! She is about 2.5 years old, about 75 pounds, food motivated, and good with calm dogs. She is shy and needs confidence around both people and dogs - that's where you come in!

If you are a strong and active pack leader who will keep up the good work and show her that she is safe, Daisy Ann is looking for you! She isn't looking for kitties, however, and would do best with respectful kids that are at least 10 years old. Please fill out an application to meet this gorgeous girl today!

We will schedule the home check once you have been approved. This may be done virtually.

Additional adoption info

All of our animals come fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Puppies and kittens will be spayed/neutered and have all shots when they are old enough. There is an Adoption application, a quick phone interview to make sure it is a good fit, a meet and greet with the dog, then a home check, and an adoption contract. We ask for a $400 donation for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies at the time of adoption so that we can save other dogs from the shelter. More about this rescue

Dogs are man's best friend, but it is not always the other way around. The Little Red Dog was founded in memory of a little red American Pit Bull Terrier who did not make it. If you are familiar with the Michael Vick dog fighting case chronicled in The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption. The Little Red Dog was brutally beaten to death by Vick and his cronies because she didn't want to fight.

The Little Red Dog rescues dogs; red, blue, tan, white, brown, black and all colors in between. We do not discriminate against ANY breed; that's because we are a real rescue, and we will help as many animals as we can. Our primary goal is to get them into loving homes. Our hope that some day all of them make it, but most of all, we will never forget the Little Red Dog and many others who did not.
