My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ping is a lovely 3-year-old girl who came to our rescue with her two siblings after their owner could no longer care for them. Unfortunately, the environment they were in was unsanitary and the cats were somewhat traumatized due to their living situation. It was immediately apparent that something was very wrong with Ping as she has a great deal of difficulty walking and she was immediately assessed by our vet. We were incredibly relieved to hear that although Ping has a very unusual gait, she is not in any pain. Although Ping cannot tell us what happened to her, the theory is that she suffered an injury, possibly a fracture to her spine that was never tended to and this has caused permanent damage. Due to the injury and awkward gait, Ping cannot get in or out of a litter box and therefore uses a puppy pad. While she can go up and downstairs, she prefers to stay on one floor and let you know when she would like up on the furniture to sit with you. Ping could spend hours sitting on your lap and is always very excited to see you. She gets along great with other cats but is aware that her flight response is slow and is therefore cautious around new people and can be easily frightened by sudden sounds or commotion. She would do well in a quiet home and would be happy as an only cat or with a calm sibling.
