My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bone, the Redbone Coonhound.
"My name is Bone and for legal reasons, I have been here since August of 2021, because I'm part of a court case. It has been hard. It sad that my entire youth was spent alone in a shelter pen. I've been here so long, I have almost given up hope. It affected me physically. I lost weight, but now I'm being fed a special food that is helping me put on some pounds. I'm not housebroken, but if you are patient, I can learn. I've heard folks here say I'm a very special dog. Even through it all, I've remained very gentle, quiet and kind. I walk well on a leash, know how to sit and love people of all ages. I also get along with cats and other dogs. My personality may not make me the best guard dog, but I will be the best companion ever! My dream home will have a nice porch for me to snooze on. A farm would be good, or a nice fenced yard. Maybe I could go on rides in their truck, play with the kids and sleep next to another dog or two. Any kind of family would suit me fine, as long as they are kind to me and take good care of me. If you are looking for a gentle soul in a not-so-big, but very handsome coonhound body, I'm your boy."
