Here's what the humans have to say about me:
!! I'M CURRENTLY IN THE SHELTER !! !! I'M IN NEED OF A FOSTER HOME !! Just like the classic ice cream flavor, Rocky Road is sweet as can be! He is a young beefy pitbull who wants nothing more than to wiggle up to you and snuggle, he just LOVES people. His favorite games to play are fetch and tug, he could play all day. Rocky Road came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control as an owner surrender due to no fault of his own. This poor kiddo appeared to have a bad case of fleas which was causing some spotty hair loss, but it is growing back so well and he has been a champ through the entire process! Unfortunately Rocky Road is back at CCR after an adoption didn't work out, we discovered he can be dog reactive on leash if he is in a high stress area (like near dog parks!) so he will need to go with someone who knows his quirks and how to properly introduce dogs! He is SUCH a great boy and deserves another chance with a dog-savvy human!
Rocky's annual care has been generously donated by his guardian Angel - David S.

More about this shelter
CCRF was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in our city. In just over seven years, CCRF has saved the lives of over 2,000 dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.
CCRF now assists the animals that are the MOST vulnerable in Midwest - the dogs and cats that are slated for euthanasia because they are too old, too young, injured, have disabilities, or have simply been overlooked for too long by potential adopters at other shelters.
