Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we are over capacity and short staffed, we try to get back to everyone quickly, it may be 4-5 days.
*Available for adoption after 9/24/23, we would love to get meet and greets set up now***
Meet Duke, neutered male, approx 2.5yrs old, Entlebucher Mountain dog mix. Duke came in May 2022 as a stray, he was a very good boy and was adopted quickly. Over the last year Duke has been spoiled with love and treats, he has been aorund chickens, goats, cats and other dogs. His adopter loved Duke very much and spent a year trying to get the resident dog who liked duke at 1st, to get used to him, but the resident dog was not okay with Duke and after repeated fights and even keeping Duke at a friends house, his adopter brought him back. Through his adopter we have learned so much about Duke, he knows basic commands, loves everyone, due to his breed, he has a strong herding extinct, loves physical exercise, will pull on a leash if you are not a strong handler (meaning he is not the boss), he loves running, jumping and loves to patrol is yard or acreage. He loves to be outside, mostly due to his double coat. He is an extremely loving dog and after he has been gone for a year, he was excited to see us and gave us big hugs and kisses. He is not an apartment dog and needs a home with a fenced large yard.
My adoption fee is $150: Included Neuter, Microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1lbs bag of food.
