My story

Welcome Gina to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-year-old Pug/Chihuahua or Rat Terrier. She has the little head like the Chihuahua or the Rat Terrier but the curly tail and robust body of the pug. Gina is a foodie and she likes to eat. She would do best in a home where she has a yard and she can be someone’s companion dog. Her best home would probably be an older couple or older single person that wants a companion animal. She is vocal and will warn you when someone new is here. Her best home would be in a single-family home and probably a more home body or quiet type home. She is wonderful with many different dog personalities and good in a crate. She is also good with cats. She will use the potty pad and currently weighs a little more than ideal. She is probably 15 pounds and should be around 10 or 12. She is very loyal to her family and likes to sit on Marlene’s lap and follow her around. She comes when called off leash. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 250 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states

Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to if you have questions. Online applications at See her cute video!!

More about this rescue

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
