Donny is playful and bright 1 yr old 40 lbs Tri Colored Border Collie who is always up for a good time, weather its learning something new or trying something fun! This dog is not at this location he is Fostered and Rescued in TX. I have a vast network of adopters, trainers, vets, herding rescuers and my father runs agility with a wonderful group. I am very close to my Columbus OH network, moving back to my birth state and doing herding rescue work here. Dony is one we felt would enjoy the journey to find his best home. He will be transportable with a completed application match and virtual home visits and meets. Donny is looking for Foster 2 Adopt dog savvy experienced/border collie experienced adopter with a large yard. He will do best with: an active retired; someone who works from home; or a break during a long work day having AM and PM obedience drills and active exercise. Donny is your best friend: the dog who loves to engage his mind for training; bike and hike; even try dog sports and his beloved soccer ball as he is very ball oriented and loves to swim. Donny craves dog relationships and would enjoy pack walks/play dates w buddies if there wasn't another playful pup in the home who can hold their own. Donny is a driven moldable boy that would be super happy continuing current training engaging on walks meeting strangers and stranger dogs (still excitable and vocal on leash), obedience and advanced classes would be beneficial. If you have ever wanted to try dog sports with a higher herding drive pup using their natural talents to excel in: agility; scent work; barn hunt; maybe even dock diving he would be an excellent candidate. He loves car rides and likes to socialize with people for barbecues at home but he is a little hyper with children, 13+ is best. Donny is very affectionate enjoying belly rubs and kisses when feeling playful and may take your socks fresh from the dryer which is an excellent opportunity to teach him something new. Donny is learning to calm inside but he doesn’t have a slow/stop button; utilizing crates and X pens are happy boundaries for him. Donny is fully vetted; neutered; micro chipped to rescue/adopter. His adoption donation is $550 includes his travel and health for the trip. There is an application to adopt, home visit if applicable; with meet and greets. Let's get this bright boy a fun future!!
