PUPDATE 5-20-2023

Well, well, well! It's almost a full year that I've been in foster care! I am so exuberant and full of life that I need a very active family. I love my walks so much, I could walk for days without tiring.

I need a fenced in area at my new home. I do love exploring and tend to get overy anxious about what's out there for me to explore. I am current on vaccinations, my yearly check up is on June 8th, where I will be updated again and also have my blood checked for heartworms. I am on monthly heartworm tablets, and so far I'm doing great.

I would love a family of my own with 12year olds or older to play with me. Children must be very respectable to animals. I tend to get jumpy when I'm excited so I would not want to hurt anyone. I am very intelligent, I mind well and I am crate trained. I will let you know when I need to use the outdoors, I have not had any accidents in a very long time. Almost 9 months.

Hi every one of you looking for a very active pup! My name is Carson, I'm an owner surrender. Circumstances for surrender are due to no choice of my own. I am a very happy and loving pup. It may take me awhile to get to know you, maybe a day or two but I will be your constant companion. I love spending time outside exploring. I adore walks and being outside sniffing anything and everything. I will let you know when I need to go out to do my business,  with a bark or a whine.. We are working on my potty training and I think I have it all under control. I'm not a fan of toys, but I do like Nylabone chews. Once in awhile I will play with a squeaky toy, but not very often. I love to cuddle with other pups, but remember, I'm pretty active and I don't rest up a lot. Sometimes that can be annoying to my foster brothers and sisters as they are all seniors and sleep too much for me.

I am up to date on all my vaccinations, microchipped, neutered and just had my dental.

I am very healthy and have been on HW preventative and flea and tick preventative. W need to make sure I stay healthy for I have a long life ahead of me.

I'm looking for a home with possible older and considerate children who will meet my needs of activity. I am crate trained and leash trained.

Could you be looking for a handsome boy like me? Just look into my eyes...one blue and one brown. Very mesmerizing if I may say so myself!

I do REQUIRE a fence, for I am very inquisitive and may run after critters or I may just want to explore outside of my yard.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

A Promise of Love is a national, internet-based rescue organization that permits adoptions nationally with appropriate documentation. Our animals are fostered in private homes until they are ready for adoption. As such, we do not have a place of business where animals can be visited.

If you are interested in a particular animal, please submit an adoption application.

Adoption Process

Once we receive your application:

1. It is screened for completeness and to assure that the information provided conforms to our basic standards for adopters. This process includes checking personal and veterinary references.

2. The application is reviewed by our Board of Directors who decide whether the application is suitable for further processing.

3. If the application passes step 2, a home visit is scheduled.

4. The Board decides, based on all the available information including our knowledge of the animal and its needs, whether the adopter is a suitable candidate for adopting a particular animal.

5. A signed adoption contract is required for all adoptions before an animal can be released. We require an adoption fee that helps defray the medical expenses we incur on the animal, which include sterilization, vaccinations, dental and other health care. The general range of these fees are $250.00 to $500.00.

6. Arrangements are made for the adopter to pick up the animal, at the adopter€™s expense.

If you have questions, please contact us at: info@apromiseoflove.org.

More about this rescue

We are a group of friends dedicated to saving the lives of animals and who are experienced with animal rescue. We exist by a network of caring volunteers, foster homes, and cooperating veterinarians. We are all volunteers who strive to save as many breeder releases, owner surrenders, and animals from high-kill shelters as possible.

Our goal is to rescue, provide medical care, socialize, and provide loving foster homes until we match each animal with its carefully screened forever home.
Because every animal deserves a promise of tomorrow, and a gift of life.
