My story

COURTESY LISTING FOR ANOTHER RESCUER! DO NOT CONTACT ARRF. We do not know this pet personally. To meet Missy, see the contact information below.

Missy is a sweet gray with white Tabby, 13-year-old spayed female kitty looking for a quiet and loving forever home to live out her golden years. She’s a very mellow kitty but gets excited for crunchy treats and a good chaser toy. She loves being petted and will immediately purr, knead, and roll over to thank you! Missy loves to show her tummy and even enjoys tummy rubs.

Missy would prefer to be the only cat in the home or have her own space and territory as she gets annoyed by other cats. Kept in a cage with her brother for a long time, she grew intolerant of sharing her space.

Missy weighs 10 lbs. and has had a recent FVRCP booster and a complete blood panel workup. Vet records will be provided to her adopter, and there is a rehoming fee.

To meet Missy, email rubykeyvani@gmail.com for more information or set up a meeting.

Why adoption is a great option

Missy, a Carlsbad Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlsbad, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlsbad.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlsbad already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlsbad breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlsbad paves the way for another one to be saved.
