2 year old, 50lb Ricky loves sunny adventures, plays well with other dogs and snuggles up to his humans like a champ. He is housetrained, listens to basic cues and would love to spend every evening curled up next to you on the couch, giving you kisses. Ricky is a real sweet guy, gets along with every dog he has ever met - and even a few cats, but loves to chase! - and enjoys being as active outside as he does snuggling. Work hard, play hard, nap hard is his motto! Ricky loves to train and, as a herding breed, enjoys having a job to do. Looking for an agility partner? Ricky is your guy! Any home that has a comfy couch and an unlimited supply of tennis balls is a home Ricky would thrive in! Ricky's does well in the city, but even better with his temporary foster in Hudson Valley! He would do so well in a home with a backyard (or access to a park) -- not only to run and play catch all day long but he's perfectly content to lie on the grass in the sun. His recall is also very good! He's a great happy dog and would benefit having a human or companion dog that matches his active energy. He's so good with other dogs, especially two little senior dogs he's fostered with, but he's always desperate to play with them instead of just cuddling so a dog to match his energy level would be his absolute perfect pair!
