My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Minden, Louisiana
DOB: 06/15/2020 (Estimate)

Sweet, sweet Willy. He is average on energy, super submissive, and learning to love affection. His foster momma calls him a “baby doll” and a “special boy”.

Willy is so silly! He is a hoarder and will actively collect toys, towels, shoes, etc, into a pile if you let him. And crinkly toys? In Willy’s world-crinkle toys are magnificent!

Wilson is more comfortable with women but now and again his “willies” get the best of him. But now instead of running and hiding in his crate when people come over, he enjoys laying on the floor in front of his foster momma and being part of the party. He is ok with older respectful children and he has been around toddlers and done great. He ignores the cats in his foster home and LOVES to play with the other pups in his home.

When unsupervised, he is crated because of his fantastic hoarding tendencies and his dumpster diving capabilities. He does good on a leash and is house trained. He isn't a huge fan of the car, although he loads wonderfully!

This goofy boy gives his momma the "Willie wiggles" in the morning, and when she returns from running errands. He loves sweet talking and butt scratches. Wilson is ready for that new family to love him. He wants to share his “wiggles” with you!!!

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
