For every woman who has said “Someday my prince will come…” – this is the fur-covered answer to your prayer!
This handsome devil is Prince Charming. The gorgeous, leading-man and heartthrob in such fairy tales as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. And we can’t lie - he does also have a little bit of the “wicked bad boy” vibe of Charming from the Shrek movies. We think he has better hair, though!
Charming was found in a ditch in Texas – trying to survive with his mom and two sisters. The pups came into rescue, the mom was kept by the family who found them. The only family history on Charming we have: his mom was around 20 lbs. and looked like a yorkie/silkie breed. Given that the only “yorkie” characteristics he carries is the yorkie mouth & attitude, the guy must be the spitting image of his daddy. We are guessing he will be about 20-25 lbs. when full grown.
He is a sleekly-muscled doggie rock star, covered in super thick, soft fur the color of melted caramel. He is ready & willing to take on anything with his sexy James Bond 007 coolness…cuddling with the ladies or just hanging with the players. He wrote the book on all this stuff; nothing gets by him. Look closely at his face – his “thinking wrinkles” (we call them “thinkles”) bring a serious, thoughtful, and creative type of energy to his playboy persona. He may take you on a walk on the wild side, but before he picked you up, he printed out a map so he doesn’t get lost! This boy covers all the bases. He has an opinion to be shared, a point to be made - and he fully expects everyone to listen to him. He instigates play with the other dogs in his foster home, and then becomes bored if it appears he is no longer in control of the game. He loves to be the center of attention. He will snuggle at every opportunity. Tuck him up under your chin and he is set for hours. You ain’t had puppy loving till you have had it from Charming. He makes “clingy” look good!
Charming is using potty pads in the house because his foster mom works – and he is usually right on the money with his aiming! He has begun to put the pieces together that “outside” is where he is meant to potty, but it is a work in progress. Please be patient with him if there are accidents when he first arrives in his forever home – it is a new place and he will need a little time to figure out the rules & expectations of this new home.
Please remember – he is still a baby. He learns quickly and loves to be rewarded and recognized for his accomplishments. He KNOWS he is a good boy and will make sure you know it as well. He will still need basic puppy training, patience, and lots of love for him to blossom into the amazing dog he is meant to be. Please give him the opportunity to be successful. He has all the pieces, he just needs the right family to help him put them together properly.
Charming is neutered, current on his vaccinations, microchipped, and treated for fleas/worms. His adoption fee is $400
