Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi friend! I’m Jimmy! I am the happiest guy around and I can’t WAIT to find a forever home of my very own.
Since we haven’t been properly introduced, let me tell you about myself. I often hear that I am so handsome, but I’m also so much more! I’m so so affectionate and loving. I adore people and LOVE other dog friends. And I just make friends wherever I go! I even do well with dogs who aren’t instantly comfortable with me and I just give them space and try to get them to adore me over time. I haven’t met kids but I think I’d do just fine with kiddos over age 5yrs old. I also haven’t met cats so I can’t be recommended to a home with a cat friend until I’ve had more proven experience.
Let’s see…what else can I share with you? I’m potty trained, of course, and know the cues “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “shake,” “wait,” “off,” and “release.” I’ve been called a “sweet, darling boy” who is fun-loving, snuggly and playful. I don’t chew furniture–only bones and toys people offer me. I also will bring you a toy so we can play together if you like. And if you want a cuddle buddy, that’s me! I lap up affection.
I’m also the perfect Colorado pup! I love walks and hikes–anything outdoors–so I could be a wonderful companion for active people since I can definitely keep up. But after my daily exercise….did I mention I love snuggling? And car rides? And fetch or playing ball? I’m up for anything!
While I know all these traits make me the PERFECT companion, I do need to share that I tend to bark quite a lot when left alone. I just really love being near my humans and I don’t understand why you leave me sometimes! I could feel a lot more comfortable in a home with another dog to keep me company but I just don’t know yet since I don’t live with another dog in my foster home. I am not destructive when left alone and it’s mostly just being noisy with barking. And due to that, I’d prefer a home without shared walls like an apartment/townhouse. I did start a low dose of anxiety meds to help me relax more and that seems to be helping! And I know that with a family who is home often and also can help me build confidence when alone, I will just THRIVE!
