My story

Pennie is a gorgeous harlequin Great Dane. She is medium energy and gets along with some dogs. She usually does not like very small dogs, but is housed with a toy poodle who bosses her around. She would be great with older kids, but she would knock down smaller ones. Pennie is a velcro dog and likes to rub on and lean into people. She is a great guard dog and needs to be introduced to people slowly.

Pennie loves to play with her balls and enjoys chewys immensely. Pennie has issues with misshapen joints. It has not caused any problems thus far, but she might have arthritis down the road. She is crate trained.

Go meet their pets

Our available pets can always be viewed on our FaceBook page under the Photo Album titled "available dogs and birds".

All events that we participate in will be shown on our web site. We are in desperate need of volunteers in order to be able to attend events.

If you see a pet that you are interested in, please contact us for more information. Most of our animals are located in Citrus County.

More about this rescue

We are a permanent placement sanctuary that rescues animals that are in need of medical or emotional care; retraining those that need it; seniors who need a safe and loving place; abused and neglected animals that need so much help and love, or any that just need a loving environment that gives them the physical and emotional support to become whole again.

Normally, we Do Not Adopt out our animals unless young or healthy, instead we offer a Forever Foster Program and our Seniors Helping Seniors Forever Foster Program.

If you are interested in becoming a foster or want information on our programs please message us or call. If you are able to volunteer, we would love to hear from you too.
