Lucy is the mother of a trio of kittens recently turned into Friends when their owner could not care for them anymore. She has had loving care, but has only seen one person in her life and is very shy of strangers. We have had her in care for about 2 weeks and she is just coming around to loving being petted and held. Her former owner says she is mellow and sweet and would do well in an adult home. Lucy is very worthwhile and tries her hardest to be brave and receive new experiences and people. She is a great mother to her kittens.
She is not spayed yet and is still comfort nursing her kittens so she is not adoptable yet. She is due to be spayed at the beginning of August and then will be available to a new home.
There is no adoption fee for our animals, but a donation to Friends is much appreciated and much needed.

More about this rescue
Friends of Plumas County Animals is a non profit 501(c)3 organization We are dedicated to improving the lives of the animals who come into our rescue and to reducing the number of unwanted/homeless animals through spay and neuter programs. When we volunteered at the local county shelter we built outdoor enclosures and play yards for the dogs and cats. Currently, Friends takes animals into our own rescue site where we spay and neuter animals who are above 4 months old and then re-home the animals. When we have the available monies we also help those in need of financial assistance spay and neuter their personal pets. Our adoptable animals are offered with no adoption fee to approved homes, and we survive on the generous donations of our adopters and supporters.
