Why I need a new home

Does not get along with another pet

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Xander is loving, and loyal, the very best cuddler and adventure buddy! He loves going on hikes and road trips, and learning new things.
We are seeking to rehome him because as a busy family with social young adults and cats his need for management around strangers (and the cats!) puts an unfair stress on all of us.
His ideal home would be one that enjoys training: tricks, scent work, cooperative care, etc. and doesn’t have too many strangers coming and going from the house.
He bonds deeply and loves unconditionally. He is extremely emotionally attuned and naturally alerts me when I’m becoming anxious.
Veterinary care is up to date. Xander has Addison’s Disease which requires life long daily medication, a monthly injection, and twice per year labs.
He has reactivity to people and dogs which is manageable due to his size and training.
He has snapped and nipped at people with the triggers being guarding his “person” and handling sensitivities. No one has ever been harmed
