My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paloma is a gorgeous, adult dog(DOB 1/29/22). Paloma and her sisters, Margarita and Chavela, were born to a stray that had the good fortune to be taken in by a good Samaritan about a month before their surprise arrival. We don't know much about her genealogy but we have included a picture of her Mom for reference. Based solely on appearance, Paloma's Mom appears to be a Shepard/Spitz breed mix. However, based on her current weight, Paloma and her siblings are on track to be significantly bigger than their 50 lbs Mom. She also has an adorable block head, and spotting on her white socks.

Much more important than her genes is her personality, and Paloma is an a balanced little girl. Sometimes she is active and outgoing, others she is a cuddle bug that will squeeze between her humans legs when she feels overwhelmed. Paloma has a solid foundation of crate training and potty training that will strengthen with time and consistency. The ideal home for Paloma would be one committed to continuing that training.

She is being fostered in a home with other dogs, both large and small, old and young. Her adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, deworming, microchip, flea/tick preventative, and spay/neuter. If you can picture yourself cuddling up with this little dove, please email us at howlelujah.rescue@gmail.com.

More about this rescue

Howlelujah Rescue is a small, volunteer run, foster based, all breed, non-profit rescue. All our of work is supported through our adoption fees and donations. We can only rescue as many dogs as we can ethically and safely house and support, so we are always looking for responsible and committed volunteers. We believe that the most effective way of supporting our community is to give back at the community level. In addition to animal rescue, we support our community by working to keep pets with the owners that love them; helping provide food, vaccinations, and low cost spay and neuter options to reduce the the number of animals entering our local county run shelter or being dumped on our streets.
