My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Found as a down-on-his-luck stray, this boy was so very thin and bedraggled. It has been a pleasure to watch him transform into a healthy & handsome dog. He is most eager for food and treats still, so no small children, please. And, would not recommend feeding or giving treats with other dogs. Definitely cannot leave him alone in a kitchen or with food out! He will counter surf; so, crate him when not at home or supervised...But, his extremely sweet, intelligent demeanor makes for such a lovely companion...He's happiest being right beside someone; a real velcro dog, so do not contact us unless you enjoy a velcro dog right next to you all the time!...Love to see him prance on a walk; has a light-footed gait. NO YOUNG CHILDREN; FENCED YARD REQUIRED; VET'S REFERENCE REQUIRED.May 3, 2024, 11:46 am

Additional adoption info

We charge a non-refundable pet adoption fee (**unless otherwise stated in description***) via cash, check, credit card, or PayPal. The pet has been given initial medical care at a participating veterinary clinic and has had full-service medical care while in the care of GRR.

We require adopter to sign and abide by an adoption contract. We would be happy to send you a copy of the application for your review.

Go meet their pets

All of our adoptable animals are either in a foster home or in boarding. If you would be interested in setting up a meet-'n-greet we would first require a vet reference (where we call a past or present vet to verify all animals have been up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm prevention ). We typically do not adopt to homes with children under 10 years of age, and most of our dogs require a fenced yard. For further information you may contact Adelia at 336-575-3603, or April Britt 336-341-5199 to learn more about adopting a pet.

More about this rescue

Gram Rescue Ranch (GRR)
"Taking a bite out of shelters, one dog at a time!"

We work with various animal control shelters in multiple cities and counties to pull dogs who are about to be euthanized. We then get them up-to-date on medical care and endeavor to find homes for them.
