Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Casey is a 2 year old Border Collie mix, weights about 40 pounds, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He started at the Clarinda Correctional Facility dog program, but after 2 months of training, he had an incident with a guard and had to come back to rescue. Casey’s handler wrote that he loves attention, is very energetic, loves to eat treats and ice. He sits, shakes and knows how to High Five. Casey can be timid around new situations and people in uniform make him very nervous. He will need appropriate introductions to new people, but once he gets to know and trust you, he will be your loving friend forever. Volunteers who work with him suggest a single female who would appreciate a dog who is leery of strangers. At the dog park, he always comes back to check on you and prefers to stay close. Casey walks good on a leash and does OK with calm dogs who ignore him. His new person needs to be patient, attentive and active. Fenced yard or country home would be great. Older children would be fine, as long as they are introduced properly. Casey will chase cats and chickens. Online Adoption Application https://forms.gle/hCqdmRxYgx9dYHiD9
