Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This dog is located in Louisiana. Charlie, Charlie, Charlie! This sweet boy started his life living with a big family with lots of children and other dogs. He was happy to be part of the "pack" enjoying his time with all. His first family fell on some difficult times and knew that the financial responsibility of five children and several animals was more then they could currently handle. They decided it would be best to re-home some of the pets. Charlie was posted as "free" on FB. In this rural area of Louisiana there are many farmsteads. He was seen by a woman who thought that this wonderful dog and breed could be just what she needed to help protect her goats. Charlie wanted nothing to do with being a goat guardian! He just wanted to be in the home, snuggling and playing with the children but that was not the case and his knew family left him outside chained to a tree. Our partner in Louisiana, Keri heard about this beautiful boy. She had seen his original post and thought he was safe - she offered to take Charlie and they readily agreed. Charlie is now being fostered in Louisiana with several dogs and even has visiting children - he is now in his happy place once again but really would love a forever home here in the New York region with a family that will treat him as a family member not a worker dog.
