My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome fella is Ares! Ares is a 10 month old Aussie mix that is looking for his pawfect family! Sadly, Ares was brought to the shelter when his previous owners no longer wanted to take care of him. Ares is trying to put the past behind him and focus on finding his new family. Ares is the friendliest, sweetest boy there truly is! Ares is great with children and other dogs, he also can live with cats fine; but his previous owners did say that he will chase them if they run from him. Since Ares is an Australian Shepherd mix, they are very smart and energetic dogs! We highly recommend doing some research on the breed before coming to meet with him, just so you know what you would be getting into with him. Ares has been known to be a bit motion sick, so he might not to the best as a travel companion. He does, however, love to go outside. He loves running around the back yard, checking out every little thing there is, and playing with some toys! He isn't the biggest toy lover, but every now and again he will throw a toy around! This sweet boy is current on his vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and neutered so he's ready to come home with you today! Ares is available for adoption at the Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, open every day from 12-6 pm! Please give us a call at 817-249-3647 or go online to www.hsnt.org/adopt to schedule an appointment!
