My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is "Hope". Hope is 3 years and 2 months old.
Hope and her 5 little kittens were found abandoned in the gazebo at Lakewood Park in Waterbury which is very close to the busy Lakewood Road. One of our previous volunteers was walking his dog by the gazebo and out comes Mommy cat jumping at his dog to protect her kittens! After some coaxing, we were able to scoop up Mommy and her kittens. All 5 kittens have since been adopted!
Hope is a great cat. She was a wonderful Mommy, she did her job and she is now ready to find her indoor "furever" home.
Hope has been spayed, she got her shots and she tested negative for leukemia/aids.
In Hope's new home, children must be 6 years old or older.
To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules.
The adoption fee for Hope is $225.00. If you adopt 2 cats, the adoption fee for the second cat would be $180.00. No credit cards.
You can meet any of our animals at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury on Saturday during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00 so, if you are interested in meeting Hope or a particular animal, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com and we will be certain to bring that particular animal with us to Petco on Saturday.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

ADOPTION POLICY
PLEASE EMAIL HANNA WITH ANY ADOPTION QUESTIONS & INQUIRIES her at feline55keeper@gmail.com. Completion of an application does not mean that you are approved. You MUST have a veterinarian reference to adopt. When we check a veterinarian reference on your current or past pets, we are looking for a vaccine history, spay/neuter and if you have followed through with veterinarian recommendations for your pet(s). All pets must be up to date on vaccines and spayed or neutered. For adoption of DOGS you must own your own home. Please do not apply if you live in a condo.

We choose the home that best suits the pet. We reserve the right to refuse an adoption. Some of our animals have been through some kind of trauma in their short lives. Our animals can not speak for themselves, so as their guardians we speak for them.
