LUZ: 2yo, 30lb female spayed shepherd mix
Please Note: We cannot guarantee breed mix or age. Both are an educated guess.
Personality: Luz is a very loving and likes belly rubs, and she is very athletic and enjoys hikes and running outdoors. She gets nervous and reactive around new people or places, so intros should be taken extremely slowly until she is ready to come to you, and then she bonds closely with her person as she gets comfy. Luz is great with other dogs (she likes being the wingwoman to a confident resident dog), fully house-trained and crate-trained, and this homebody is happiest just cuddled up with her person. Luz would do best with a family who will go at her pace as she starts feeling more secure... she needs adept and calm owners with rescue experience who are competent with training and behavioral correction.
Home Recommendation: A hectic home with lots of guests will not be a good fit, and Luz is working on her fear response when others enter the home since she is protective of her family. Luz has nipped the legs of guests exiting her foster home, so she may need to be kept separately from new visitors and receive correction until she adjusts to them. Luz would do best with a quiet home.
