Seven-pound Sophie is an affectionate, four-year-old, terrier mix. At first, she can be a little shy around those she doesn't know and seems more comfortable with women. She is very attentive-- looking expectantly at you and following from room to room. She's looking to bond with someone (in the proprietary way terriers do).

Sophie is house-trained and pretty good on a leash. This "little leader" has a pretty strong instinct to be the top dog, so we feel she would do best as an only dog or with one the same size who is more of a "follower".

Her foster mom said, "She is remarkably affectionate & trusting with me considering all she must have been through. In a home without competition, I think she would make a fantastic companion."

Sophie is spayed, current on vaccines and microchipped.
