Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella
German Shepherd Mix
Female
4 years old
58 lbs.
Hi! I’m Bella! I’m the most gorgeous, sweetest gal and I can’t wait to find a forever home of my very own!
I love when people tell me how sweet I am and give me lots of love. I’m friendly, easy going, and really enjoy the companionship of my humans. I’m a pretty chill lady and I’m happy to enjoy a quiet lifestyle–so long as there’s lots of love involved! But I also love going for walks and would be such a fun hiking/walking buddy as well.
I’m doing so well in my foster home-I’m potty trained, I’m crate trained (and I do best in a crate when left alone as I can be pretty sneaky in getting into trash cans, etc.) and I’m SO smart and eager to learn. I know “sit” and am learning a few more commands like “stay” and “lay down.” As a German Shepherd mix, I’m best when I am learning so I’d love a home where my human is eager to teach me. I have met a couple of older kids and did well overall so I’d likely do just fine in a home with older kids (over age 5yrs old.) I haven’t met a cat so I can’t share how I do with cat friends. And I’ve had really good experience with dogs in the past but I can be a bit tentative in meeting them at first (and will give a little growl if they come on too strong) so I’d do best in a home with laid back dog friends (or I’d do just fine being a solo dog as well!)
Quick medical note-I have a pancreatic condition that makes it hard for my body to digest high fat/high protein food. I need to be on a medication (likely for the rest of my life) that costs $50/month and I also need to be a special low-fat food (cost is $110/large bag). It’s a very manageable condition and I just need a family who is able to support my medical need.
