Bombur, named after a dwarf who accompanied Thorin and Bilbo on their journey to the Lonely Mountain in LOTR. Bombur has been in rescue for almost 3 years, loves his foster families' kiddos, and hopes to find his forever family in his senior years with someone special who will continue providing passion and love.

Estimated birth date: 3/1/19
Personality: Curious, Dignified, Friendly toward humans, Inquisitive, Readily allows you to pick it up, Smart.
Favorite treats: Loves his Vit C cookies.
Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food, Veggies, Leafy Greens, Western Timothy & Orchard Mix
Favorite toys and activities: Chewing on empty paper towel tubes
Potty trained: Haven't tried.
This animal’s daily routine: Hay, pellets and fresh breakfast in the morning, exercise in the afternoon if possible, hay and pellets at night.
BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Bombur recently lost his cagemate, Gimli. Bombur now needs a buddy in his adoptive home.
Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Neighbor dogs have barked at him through the fence; He doesn’t seem to mind them
Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? Daily exposure to multiple children; doesn’t mind being held
Health concerns: None
Behavioral concerns: None
Other notes: He calmed down the most when he was with Gimli and did best when they were together. Because of this, we feel he needs a buddy as soon as possible.
Gimli & Bombur came to MNPPR when their previous owner & adopter were unable to provide proper care.
Due to our rescue being foster-based, not all foster homes are located in Saint Paul, MN. This animal's foster parent prefers to meet at the Roseville PetSmart - 2480 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113 for meet & greets, & adoptions.
Bombur has an adoption fee of $8.75
