02-27-2010 This white & black mix has been impounded. Terrier/Pointer...best guess. This baby needs a home..fast! And he needs someone with a bit of patience to teach him how to be a family member. He has the love and the enthusiasm he just needs YOU to love him and teach him.
One of Cole Camp's finest POLICE officers, Adam, notified us of the impound, possible medical issue with this little mutt.
Buddy appears to be a terrier mix, may be pointer or spaniel in the mix.He could even have American Bulldog in the mix, a BIG puppy!
Buddy refuses to speak without his attorney present.
Adam believes him to be rather young.
Found under a vehicle Adam coaxed him out, put him in the patrol car. He rode nicely, kissing Adam's cheek & licking Adam's ear. Quite a friendly pooch, got the nicest doggy jail cell due to his shameless affection.
PM update - A visit with Adam to check on Buddy.
Surprise! He's a puppy! Tiny, sharp, razor like teeth, baby canines.
Buddy is high energy, just what you would expect of a pup. He was so excited to see Adam, gave sloppy kisses which then earned him an extra dog biscuit.
Because of his high energy this would not be a suitable pet for a home with small children. He would easily knock them off balance.
If not re-claimed by the owner, the pup/dog will be available for adoption.
02-28 We have this opinion from one rescue outside of the area:
"Could be AMD but I can't see much Bull in his face. Kinda looks Pointer, Kinda looks Border Collie. What is his weight to age ratio?" (Answer - Less than 6 mo., probably about 40 lbs.)
"40 at 6 pretty well eliminates Pointer or BC. Could be some Bully along with a long nose."
One more opinion

03-01 City worker Klark has advised us that this pup wags his tail, yet growls. He will need to evaluate his adoption potential if the owner does not come forth.
