My story

~~ Located on LI, and ready to meet you! ~~
SWEET, lovable Daisy is currently located in a foster home on Long Island. We think this girl is about 4 or 5. Her story:
Daisy (along with another dog) was left tied to the fence outside a local animal shelter. We do not know why she was dumped there, but we do know that she was cared for her because she was found to be heartworm free and parasite free (something not always typical) She was also spayed. We can tell that at one time, Daisy was loved.
Now in a phenomenal foster home on Long Island, here is an update from her foster mom:

Meet NYSRR foster lab Daisy. She is a 5-year-old spayed chocolate lab mix. She is a wonderfully happy, easy-peasy, ready to move in sweetheart.
She is both housebroken and crate trained.
Daisy has only played with her toys when we have left her alone, free in the house.
The only thing Daisy needs is daily walks (which she loves), lots of loving, and a restricted diet so she can re-gain her girl-ish figure!
She is good with dogs and loves children. To know her is to love her.
We consistently have play dates with other dogs and they have such a great time together! My neighbors children love her because she is so calm and happy to see them. To meet this girl please begin by filling out an application at NYSRR.COM.
You will be glad you did. :-D

Why adoption is a great option

Daisy (LOCAL LI), a Bayport Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bayport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bayport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bayport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bayport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bayport paves the way for another one to be saved.
