My story

Meet Chloe, she is an approx. 2 year old, possible Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix and with her shorter legs we think she could be mixed with dachshund. She is a lovable 14 lbs, is potty trained, and loves looking out windows at the outside world. She thoroughly enjoys her breakfast and dinner as well as her treats after her potty outside. One of her favorite past times is snuggling with her person on the couch. She will sleep in a dog bed, but likes sleeping with her person on the human bed too. She is very social with other dogs in her foster home, but her foster home does not have cats so we do not know how she would do with them. She has not been around kids at her foster home so we are not sure how she would be, we suspect she would be shy, especially at first. She walks well on a leash and is not a big barker. This sweet girl deserves a home where she be well loved and treated as part of the family. Chloe will need a patient adopter who will guide her into her new family setting while she adjusts to her new surroundings, but she is a quick learner. She is gentle and inquisitive of what her surroundings are. Chloe is smart and listens well. Chloe loves to run around in a fenced-in yard, and we will give preference to that. It must be completely secure though, as she will try to make a break for it at first. If you believe that your family is a perfect match for Chloe and you live in the Central Florida area, please send in an application and let us know more about your family.

Why adoption is a great option

Chloe, a Sanford Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund for sale in Sanford, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Sanford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sanford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sanford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sanford paves the way for another one to be saved.
