My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet beautiful, sweet Magenta who came to us as a pregnant, young juvenile - from South Los Angeles. She obviously belonged to someone because she's so very friendly and calm. But was abandoned in a carrier at a woman's place of employment.

That kind woman took her in to her home and Magenta adapted immediately, taking not only to her teenage son but to the other two, adult cats in the house. They sent me video of her being picked up and held and it was quite remarkable, how chill and relaxed she was - from the start.

We suspect Magenta is a Bombay - with such a beautiful, sleek, shiny, black coat and round, yellow eyes, Depending on the lighting, however, her fur often shows hues of deep auburn or sable. But, of course, we have no way of knowing her true lineage (without running a DNA test).

Since this girl wasn't far along, we were able to safely terminate her pregnancy and set her up at a foster's home - who also has two, bonded kitten brothers.

They began talking to each, other across the room and it was the sweetest thing to behold. Once their isolation period was over, they all showed interest in meeting each other. Magenta gently mothers them by grooming and watching over them.

She also adores the companionship of humans, on an equal basis... and LOVES being pet, brushed, held and cuddled. **Be sure to check out Magenta's video on YouTube and just maybe, you'll fall in love with her, too!

Magenta's adoption will include her:
* Spay surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution),
* and Micro chipping!

~ $125. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $200 for a pair ~

* Please only contact us if you'll be making Magenta a permanent member of your household and will be keeping her safe indoors.

** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!

*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).

Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!
