My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet Luna, a ten month old year Canaan puppy who is looking for a loving home after a very rough beginning. She was found dumped under the hot Jordanian sun, most likely due to her spinal injury. The person who found her fed her for a few days before she was moved to a foster home.

Despite her rough start in life, she is the sweetest, most trusting pup who loves people. She also loves to play! She is partially paralyzed due to an old injury to her spine in her mid-back. She is unable to move her lower body including back legs, but her thigh muscles reacts to pain stimuli to her legs and toes. At this point it ia not possible to say if surgery would help her as MRI for animals do not exist in Jordan. She has control over her bowels and partial over her bladder. She goes to her pee pad to urinate but some of it “leaks” after. We are currently in discussion with a vet to figure out the best way to handle this. I give her quick baths twice a week which she tolerates well. We will be setting her up with a neurologist once she comes to the United States to help make her even more comfortable.

Luna would love a home who will love her for who she is, where she can get the love, attention and play that she longs for. She loves the outdoors so someone who will allow Luna to bask in the sun and enjoy the fresh air would be wonderful.

All vaccinations, deworming, rabies titer test and travel costs to her new country will be covered by her fosterer in Jordan.

Will you give this sweet girl a chance?
