As a US based non-profit animal rescue organization, our mission is to provide as many stray cats and dogs with the second chance at life that they deserve. We work to unite people of all ages and backgrounds who share in the belief of a world where animals are free from cruel and inhumane treatment. Canaan Dog Alliance is run by members who passionately believe in advocating for the voiceless and offer a united, amplified voice for all who join our community.

Adoption steps
- Interview
- First, we have a chat with the potential adopter to see if they are eligible to fill out an adoption application.
- Submit Application
- After we have a chat, if we feel like the adopter shows promise, we offer them an adoption application.
- Home Check
- If their application gets approved, we conduct another video call where we do a home walk-through.
- Approve Application
- If all goes well, then we will proceed with approving the application.
Additional adoption info
We conduct our interviews in video form so that we can gain a better idea of whether or not the applicant is eligible for consideration in adopting one of our rescue animals. If we feel that the person may be a good fit, we will do a meet and greet with the rescue they are interested in adopting,
