My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a beautiful red headed soul mate with long silky locks….? Consider little Louise. At eight pounds and six years old she is a beauty in need of a patient home.  Louise had a horrible start in life.  She was seized by animal control from a property with over 150 neglected animals. She never had a regular meal, a toy, or someone to pet her. She arrived at CRT scared and shut down.

Louise has thrived in her foster home over the last year! She went from described as “a beautiful yard fox- no touchie touchie” to a lap sitter, bed bug, and one who wants a good scratch.

She has been in a training program and has learned to trust new people and be leashed and walked.  Louise is great with all cats and dogs.  She is calm with older children but we have not had her with children under 12. Louise has good outdoor potty skills but has also used a pee pad in the past. She has always been healthy.

She had a rough beginning, so she will take weeks to bond at her new home.  She is fearful of change and will thrive in a consistent environment where she can understand her new job as a pet! ——- no longer a wild feral homeless girl ❤️!!   If you are patient and allow her to unfurl her personality and bloom and you will fall in love!

A fenced yard and a canine companion is REQUIRED, as Louise still tries to run when frightened and takes her queues from other dogs in the home!

She is UTD on shots, HW Negative and on HW preventative.

Her adoption donation is $300.00.

If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.

To submit an application go here……chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.

Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.

Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA.
