My story

Welcome Georgia to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 3.5-year-old Chiweenie. She came from Devine Animal Control. They are a small rural Animal Control facility with outdoor kennels and not very many of them. They are always getting full and unable to find enough adopters. We got a call from them for sweet Georgia. She is really sweet. She weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown. She is a little shy but very sweet and lower energy. She doesn’t jump up on us at the rescue and my guess is she hasn’t been held much. She has given birth to a number of puppy litters. She is good with other dogs, cats and all people. She will be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her shots, spayed and ready for her forever home. She would be an easy dog to bring in for just about any family who wants a lower energy dog that just hangs out and is content just hanging out. She may learn to be more cuddly but very fine sitting at your feet. She can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. We do not adopt dogs to residents of Massachusetts or Rhode Island due to the restrictions of these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or our website at www.ccpalrescue.org for an application. Why adoption is a great option

Georgia, a Bandera Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Bandera, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bandera.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bandera already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bandera breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bandera paves the way for another one to be saved.
