My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Special Considerations: no cats
Meet Lonzo! This sweet striped boy was found on the side of the road in extremely bad shape. He weighed only 32 lbs and needed ‘round the clock care from the good Samaritans that found him. After regaining his strength, he made his way to ECPR and now he’s ready to meet YOU! He’s very friendly but can be loud on walks because he wants to greet everyone. He likes other dogs but not cats, and would do best with older children because of his size (he still thinks he’s a little lap dog). His favorite things are playing fetch, walking with his dog friends, and snuggling. Does this perfect pup sound like your type? Call to learn more about Lonzo!
Lonzo is current on vaccines, neutered and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Founded by Vivian Goldbloom in 2013, Emerald City Pet Rescue exists to rescue abused, neglected, and homeless animals from high-volume shelters around the country.

We pride ourselves on providing the best medical care possible for our rescued animals and rehabilitating hard-to-adopt animals to help them increase their chances of finding loving homes.

Our screening process includes meet and greets, reference checks, and a visit to the potential owner’s home to ensure the home and family are compatible with the pet’s needs and our requirements. We do everything we can to ensure that loving homes are found for these amazing pets.

Emerald City Pet Rescue is run by dedicated staff and volunteers who give their time and resources to house, train, rehabilitate, and care for our animals. Above all else, we truly believe that Love Can Save Lives.
